inept

Quite a number of those dear to me are having emotional turmoil of late that it kind of brushed on me a little bit. I was mellowed to the point of I cringed whenever I feel happy. Change of hormone, quarter life syndrome, insecurity. Inadequacy.

We need to be reminded on how great life is indeed, that there are more to life that everything we are facing now, are just a small fraction of it. That those too, shall pass. Then again, to translate that into practice, even to a crusader of happiness, is easier said than done.

Superior kept telling how bad your are at work without even once praises you when you performed.
Parents kept comparing you to their friends' kids, how smart, and nice, and polite etc they are compared to you.
Your boyfriend kept looking at other girls and saying how he would definitely fall hard should certain girls were to hit on him
Your friend complaining on the lousy dinner you've worked so hard in throwing for her birthday.

I won't deny you should any of the above makes your feel inadequate.
It may come from low self esteem kicking in at all the wrong places.
Or in cases where you can't do anything about it, in areas where you can't improve, you are just not loved / appreciated / valued enough.
No matter how much you do, to parents, husband, friends, superiors; you would never be good / pretty / loyal / excellent / great enough.

Helped. Thank you
Then you learned to let go.
Someone else would be good enough for them.
Someone else would find you good enough.

Then again, calm down, and think hard, whether all these are just in your head. And whether it's you, you are the one who's making your loved ones feel inadequate as no matter how much they love you, you would always feel unloved..

In this unnecessary craziness mostly tricks played on you by your brains, it's great to have someone holding your hand, calming you down, telling you not to worry and that everything would be fine.

With that, I thank you. And hope that I would never make you feel inadequate, I am just a sad kid sometimes, the happiest most of the times. Should you think I am inadequate, tell me, I can help you find someone better.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure"
